The inspection standards for esd chair mainly include the tests of surface resistivity and volume resistivity.
- Surface resistivity: Antistatic chair the surface resistivity of anti-static chairs should be between 10^6 and 10^9 ohms per square centimeter.
- Volume resistivity: The resistance to ground should be between 10^5 and 10^9 ohms.
Testing Methods and Equipment
- Esd chairs laboratory testing equipment: Usually, a heavy hammer type surface resistance tester is used for testing, such as model ACL800.
- Testing methods:
- Point-to-point resistance test between the seat and backrest: Place electrodes on the seat and backrest and measure the resistance between them.
- System resistance test between the seat and casters: Place a 200mm*200mm conductive plate under the casters and ensure good contact, then measure the resistance between the seat and the conductive plate.
- Precautions during testing
- Electrode selection: The electrodes should be made of stainless steel or copper, with a conductive rubber contact end, hardness of 60±10 Shore A, thickness of 6mm±1mm, and volume resistance less than 500Ω.
- Testing environment: The product should be placed on an insulating tabletop during testing, ensuring that the surface resistivity and volume resistivity of the tabletop are both greater than 1x10^13Ω, and the geometric peripheral dimensions should be greater than the tested material by 10 cm.
- Ground testing: The distance between the electrodes should be 900 mm to 1000 mm. .
